Earlier in the year we had the opportunity to go to V E G A S on the house. So me being me I figure we'd make the best of it and hit the G R A N D C A N Y O N and see the Hoover Dam!
Let me tell you that was one of the best "back yard" trips I'd been on thus far. (*Backyard trips = trips within the continuous United States)
The getting off a plane and immediate heading towards the Grand Canyon to see the sunrise was probably not the best of ideas when you just landed at 12 am and running on fumes. (we didn't get on the road until about 2 am we had to check in to our hotel first)
So there there we are, my wife and her two sisters, jamming out to throwback 90s music flying down i40 East having the time of our lives - that is until i notice that they've all KO'ed and it was me and these lonely stars vibing out to whats grown to be one of my favorite albums easily - Reality Show by Jazmine Sullivan.
Four hours later and we have made it safely, deathly tired but in one piece.
I park the car and we walk towards the our final destination and we're greeted by what i can only describe as the G R A N D E S T sight I've witnessed in my life. I mean pictures do not do this place justice you have to add this place to your bucket list.

After walking the millions year trail timeline, drinking the spring water, and unplanned contact with the wild life we were ready to head back west! 3.5 hours later we are now at The Hoover Damn and although not as grand as the Grand Canyon I was very greatful to have witnessed this immense concrete structure.
